Pesto, I absolutely love cooking with it, adding it to my pasta, to my chicken.. anything I can use it with, I will.
But you know what taste’s even better you own homemade pesto…
Pesto is such a simple yet outstanding thing to make super simple and it adds such flavour to a meal.
- 3 Large handful’s of basil
- A large handful of pine nuts
- A large tablespoon of olive oil (Depending on your consistency of the pesto will be dependant on how much oil you use)
- A handful of parmesan
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic
- A pinch of salt and pepper
How to make –
Pop everything into a blender and blend.
I usually blend my pesto for around about 3 minutes to get a more liquid consistency however if you like it chunky don’t blend it for as long. Depending on how you like your pesto also depends on how much oil you add to the mixture. As I like mine as a liquid I add a full tablespoon of oil, but that’s completely up to you.
